Affiliate Marketing
One of the easiest ways to get started online
is through affiliate marketing. Let’s take a
look at some reasons why this is a great way
to get started.
Start up costs are very low. Normally it is
free to join an affiliate program, and all the
product set-up and shipping costs will be met
by the merchant whose products you are selling.
You don’t have to keep any products on hand
since customers buy directly from the merchant.
So even if you live in a one bedroom apartment,
you can still sell the biggest products
available as an affiliate.
There are thousands of products to choose from.
So no matter what niche you are in you should
be able to find products to market.
There is no need to worry about customer
service issues or setting up an account to
receive payment. The merchant is responsible
for product payments, delivery, complaints
and returns.
There are no long term contracts which bind
you to selling one particular product. If the
product you chose isn’t bringing in any
revenue, then you can just dump it and move
on to promoting another product.
For these reasons I firmly believe that
affiliate marketing is the easiest way to
start your online business. It just makes
sense and it will help keep your initial
costs down.

Basic Computer Skills
While you don’t need to be a computer expert to
have an online business, it does help to have
basic knowledge of computers, the Internet, and
email.
The How Stuff Works website has a variety of
information and articles on how computers, the
Internet and email work. Access their site at
http://www.howstuffworks.com then just type in
what information you are looking for in the
search box at their site.
Another valuable skill for online business
owners is knowing how to conduct online
research by using search engines. Google is by
far one of the most popular search engines.

Basics visit their site at:

Yahoo also has some great information on using
their search engine. Go to the following and click on ‘search tips’:
